Icom's new IC-7000

I have a dream to one day own one of these nice radios. I am saving up for it, and perhaps with your help it could happen even sooner. Yesterday I saw a web site where a lady had got herself into $20,000 debt, and asked for help. She paid off the debt in 20 weeks, which is quite amazing. I figure that this radio costs less than one tenth of that amount.

Perhaps you have wondered about this site and who put it together and would like to contribute towards the costs of this site, currently paid entirely by myself for two years now. It is easy to do. The amount of your non-deductible donation can vary from one dollar up to the cost of the radio (about $2000 Canadian).

• At the $500 or above level of donation, you are my friend for life. I will also give you a 12x18 framed photo print of your choice, I have them on display currently at the library in Poco.
  
  
• At the $100 or above level, you are an awesome friend. I will also give you a framed 8x10 photo print of your choice.
  
  
• At the $10 level,  you are the kind of friend I would invite for lunch and would cover your lunch if you forgot your wallet. I'd sell you a photo at a good price.

Why should you help? A good question indeed. Certainly Elvis did not tell you in a dream to donate.  (If you believe he did, please disregard it) And I expect noone helped you purchase your radio. Well some years ago, I used to have an Icom IC-706MKIIG (which I purchased in better economic times) in my car. I used to love to operate HF mobile. It was so much fun, until one day my car was broke into and the radio was stolen from me. Since that time, I have not gone HF mobile again, until I saw an ad for this new IC-7000. :-)

But imagine as you will, the good your donation will make. I generally bring all my radio equipment to field day, to various contests and events. It will be something used and, who knows, perhaps we will have a QSO on this radio one day. Would you like to be able to say that you made it happen?
